About Me

Hey there,

Somewhere in the Middle is my introverted way of interacting with the world. When I can't hold my thoughts and ideas and feelings inside anymore, I come here to write out my issues with all the grays and unsures of living in the midst of a broken world.

I am just a middle-aged mom and wife, the middle daughter, a former English teacher, a wannabe writer, who works for a non-profit.

Truth is, I'm still working on what I want to be when I grow up. Still in school getting my master's in secondary education, yet the only person I'm teaching these days is me.

I come here to share my imperfections and inspirations, experiences, and convictions.

My Mission in this life. To reflect the light and love of Jesus and to love others well. And, I still have a lot to learn and improve upon there. My heart bends toward people while my mind yearns for solitude.

My Perspective. I view the world from a small, New England seaside town - with the outlook of a Floridian always in my pocket. My faith is non-denominational and ever-evolving, as I seek to understand God's word and this world. I believe in Jesus - in his death and resurrection, his saving grace, and his teachings. Politically, I am neither a conservative or a liberal; my views depend on the individual law or policy and are not swayed by attachment to either political party.

I believe in the values of honesty and respect and treating everyone with kindness and dignity. I believe in making informed and ethical purchases when we are able, protecting our beautiful planet, and supporting local businesses. (But I use Amazon Prime too...I'm not a saint).

I believe in the beauty and wisdom of the elderly, appreciate the fearless vivaciousness of teens, and cherish the heart-healing power of infants.

My Passions: Chocolate, Colombian coffee, baking cookies, warm blankets, great books & movies the beach, margaritas, peace & quiet, and being at home.

But enough about me...tell me about you.
